Prioritization process
Defining a process for prioritization is the first task. There are four steps in a typical prioritization process:
- Identify prioritization methods and tools.
- Define format and venue.
- Engage participants.
- Conduct prioritization.
Many prioritization methods and tools exist: multi-voting technique, strategy grids, nominal group technique, the Hanlon Method, or prioritization matrices (see NACCHO Guide to Prioritization Techniques for instructions on these methods).
