Make the value case: overview
Data modernization can be a time- and resource-intensive process in a health department. Buy-in from leadership is essential for efforts to modernize data and systems. Make the Value Case is a section devoted to building support for data modernization work through development of strategic communication tools to use when engaging partners.
To address key challenges and to accelerate the design, deployment and operation of robust information systems, the DMI champion should begin by developing a strong value case for investment in data modernization. A value case should be developed early in the planning process and disseminated widely to established and potential partners.
