In 2025, PHII hosted a three-part webinar series in collaboration with CDC. The webinars included best practices, industry standards and use cases to help jurisdictions understand the procurement process from start to finish.
Successful information technology procurements can be technically and legally complex, requiring thoughtful planning and plenty of lead time. The webinars focused on procuring software (e.g., migrating to a new IIS platform, acquiring a new or replacement module) and obtaining technical services (e.g., obtaining or renewing maintenance and service contracts).
Downloadable resources below include slides for each webinar session and a one-pager guide to procurement phases.

For a high-level overview of procurement, check out two interactive webinars PHII hosted in collaboration with CDC in 2026. The interactive webinars covered similar concepts but included peer-learning exchanges and group discussions on lessons learned for effective procurement practice that varied based on participant involvement.
