In 2026, PHII hosted two webinars in collaboration with CDC. The webinars included best practices and industry standards to help jurisdictions understand the procurement process from start to finish. The interactive webinars covered similar concepts but included peer-learning exchanges and group discussions on lessons learned for effective procurement practice that varied based on participant involvement.
Successful information technology procurements can be technically and legally complex, requiring thoughtful planning and plenty of lead time. The webinars discussed ways to document service needs and expectations to improve results and collaboration with vendors throughout the contracting process and period of performance, and improve post-award management.
Downloadable resources below include slides from the webinars and a one-pager guide to procurement phases.
