The migration toolkit is built around two foundational disciplines—project management and change management. When approached in tandem, these complementary disciplines help ensure the success of a migration project or any other change initiative.
Project management refers to the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project objectives. In an IIS migration, the effective application of project management helps ensure the new platform installation happens on time and on budget. These tools, segmented by work area in the tabs to the left, will guide the designated migration project manager through the process of managing and coordinating project activities. The tools presented here are also more broadly applicable to other IIS, immunization program or public health projects, large and small.
