Created with funding from the CDC, this competency domain model provides behaviorally-based competencies that define an effective immunization information systems (IIS) workforce. The model creates a framework for learning and professional development by ensuring a direct relationship between key performance behaviors and training. Additionally, it provides IIS staff a tool for workforce planning that serves as a roadmap for building a high-performing IIS team.
