CODI use cases and queries

As part of the CODI pilot projects in Colorado and North Carolina, each CODI network developed a series of potential use case questions that would scope the work and drive development as well as test the CODI infrastructure (and initial longitudinal dataset) by attempting to answer questions about the individuals served by that CODI network. The process included the following steps:

  • Brainstorm and develop a list of potential use case questions which can be used to test the infrastructure.
  • Prioritize important and feasible use case questions to test the infrastructure.
  • Hone the final use case questions, conceptual frameworks and variables as needed.
  • Develop code to create data sets for each use case and test with synthetic data.
  • Modify SAS code to work with the real CODI data model, once available.

The links below include details on the use cases in North Carolina and Colorado:

  • CODI@NC use cases: This PDF outlines the first three use cases for CODI@NC with conceptual models and a summary of the code logic.
  • CODI@CO use cases: This repository contains source code (SQL and R) for select use cases for CODI@CO. The queries can be found in this repository.
