Bill Brand recognized for leadership in e-health
Shawn Eastridge
It is with great pleasure and pride that I congratulate my longtime friend and colleague Bill Brand on his recent award from the Commissioner of Health in Minnesota. Dr. Karen DeSalvo, Director of the ONC (The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology), personally presented the award, which recognized Bill’s outstanding past work in e-health leadership while working as the Deputy Director for the Minnesota e-Health Initiative at the Minnesota Department of Health.

For the last six years, since leaving his position in Minnesota, Bill has served as the Director of Public Health Informatics Science here at PHII. In that time, his leadership has continued to yield rigor and data-driven results in all that we do. Simultaneously managing to be visionary in his thinking and astute in his attention to detail, he never fails to ensure our programs keep pace with the rapidly evolving world of public health informatics. We couldn’t feel more fortunate to have Bill on our team!

Congratulations, Bill!
