In 2024, a team from the Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) joined the Public Health Informatics Institute’s Data Modernization Initiative Learning Community call to share their lessons learned from data modernization. This presentation offers one example of considerations an immunization information system (IIS) team may have when working to align with DMI goals, and may offer insights to other IIS programs and public health agencies looking to explore alignment with the Data Modernization Initiative.
