Birth Defects Surveillance

Birth defects are a leading cause of infant mortality in the United States and contribute substantially to healthcare costs and life-long disabilities. BDS surveillance programs want to exchange information accurately, effectively and consistently; and to use the exchanged information to enhance individual and population health.
