Created with funding from the CDC, these sample role descriptions are intended to provide guidance for identifying staffing needs and subsequent recruiting for immunization information systems (IIS).

The role descriptions were originally created in 2016, and were remapped to the IIS Competency Model and refreshed in 2023. Some role descriptions were updated in 2025.
