The IIS epidemiologist is responsible for analyzing, evaluating and presenting IIS data to describe patterns and characteristics of immunization coverage in the jurisdiction to inform the immunization program, agency leadership, public health partners and the public. The epidemiologist analyzes immunization coverage by geography, immunization provider and other factors to identify low coverage areas and providers for program interventions to increase equitable immunization coverage and control the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases.
