The phases “monitor and control” and “execute” run somewhat concurrently, but when the following criteria are met, you are ready to move from the “monitor and control” phase to either finalize the “execute” phase or move straight to the “close” phase:

☑ System satisfies approved requirements

☑ Defects reviewed and scheduled for resolution

☑ Move to production approved

☑ Executed training for staff and end users

☑ Completed operational documentation (e.g., SOPs, operational processes)

☑ Executed implementation plan
